Third one on the way - God Speaks

3:34 AM 1 Comments
9th Aug 2019
On the 9th Aug 2019, I remembered telling a group of friend a verse.

“Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I am always feel contented and felt blessed by having two kids, and I always wanted three kids, since secondary school. The hubs did not agree, he always found that two was enough.

When I moved over to the new house in Feb 2019, I felt the house was too small and I decided that two was good enough.

In August, I was praying, as something in my life wasn't smooth. I remembered God said telling me I was pregnant. I put two hands on my tummy and and laughed it off.  By the end of the August, I suspected I was pregnant, but shake it off because I thought it was not possible.

6 Sept 2019
I went for a health check up, happily tick yes to not pregnant, did the X-ray and pelvic ultrasound, to realise that I was pregnant.
I was shocked, I mean I know I had to keep the baby. Suddenly, I was worried about the house, the school, the finances. the logistic of sending them to school. The thoughts keep floating, even one my friend felt something was wrong, he called me to check in on me.

I sat a restaurant, eating and stoning away, before texting my husband. My husband thought I was pranking him. As from time to time, I will announce I was pregnant and checked on my husband's reaction. My acting skills must be rather good, because those times, he had to look twice at my face to know if I was faking it. However, on the 6th Sept 2020, he couldn't tell because I texted him.

9th Sept 2019
Three days later, my hubby and I went to the clinic to do a pregnancy test, he really thought I was kidding. And the reality sank it, when the results were positive. By then, he was laughing together with me.

Back track to 8th Aug 2019
Remembering me laughing at God talking to me, prior to this, I even had alcohol to drink. Raphael is really a survivor.

Fast forward to 6th Oct 2019 again, I was crying badly because work pressure and some personal issue. God sent me this message :

Genesis 16:11
The Angel of the Lord also said to her, " You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, For the Lord has hear of your misery."

It was amazing how God speaks, and how his words came in timely and that he has heard me. Ishmael meant "God hears." I told everybody that this is a son, not in my pregnant belly shape but in faith that He has told me.

I named him Raphael because it meant God heals. :)

Circuit Breaker Day 2 and 3

1:49 AM 0 Comments
In Singapore the Circuit breaker start on the 7th April, we did some marketing to stock food up. My thoughts were not to go out as often.

Instead of going NTUC, a supermarket, I went to wet market to get the food. Doing some experiment on how to grow garlic, and I realised a lot of people are growing their own vegetables.

Day 2 08.04.2020
I am currently doing my maternity right now, with 2 kids, me and husband had to juggle things around. Switched on the home based learning for Royce, while asking my maid to monitor him.
I brought Adele out to visit my gynae, I wasn’t too sure of the regulation, and we can only bring one person beside the mother in. We still had a lot to learn.

Royce having fun

Adele painting the Mason Jar
I have put thoughts into Day 1 activities, and managed to entertain the kids. This is not done with repeated screams of , “ No, don’t do this!”

Royce cried when I turned on the oxygen pump for the pet fish, thought they were dying. I forgot how my boy can feel this much. I was kind of touched that God gave me such a kind boy. He said sorry after knowing I was trying to help the fish. All that teachings has not gone to waste.

However God also gave me the same  boy who is over eager and a lot of energy. Being competitive, he and his sister fought over a simple game, which I randomly thought of
I had placed the cards of animals on the floor, and told them to find those animals starting with an alphabet that I called out.

Day 09.04.2020

Making mask, doing colouring, watching TV.  I saw how pent up Royce was, because he wasn't able to run around.

In this pandemic situation, it divided Singaporeans, the ones who think parents should not bring the kids out. I on the other hand, I brought out my kids and observed the regulation. Being afraid that the virus is one thing.

I did not want the Circuit breaker to last longer than it should . Scrambling to for both, it was stressful for me to keep looking out for the social distancing. Two kids went near my daughter and without a thought I told my husband to bring her away as we should have social distancing.

I also said it out loud and the other mum also agreed with me, and told the daughters the same thing.
However it is hard, as you have other people who don't observe the same rules.

The park then maybe closed, so let's see how it goes.

Day 3 brought us to mask making day and the kids are really really pent up.
As adult we could control, but my son needed to run around. We brought them to Sembawang park, when the beach wasn't closed.

Although,we did our part of social distancing and wearing mask. I felt that it was too tensed for me, having to remind my kids and having to watch out for people. It might be awhile before we can head to this place again.

Desaru 28.12.2019

7:33 PM 0 Comments
Day 1
We braved the morning jam at 8.35am and reached Desaru at 12.34pm.
My restless children manage to quiet down at the last hour of the journey.
The cafe at Els Club Desaru was delight to the sight and the stomach

Food was relatively reasonably priced at 261 Café :

No 4. Jalan Danau, Desaru Coast,
81930 Desaru, Johor

Singapore Bee Hoon (24RM) was good and kids eat free for every meal.

The next pit stop was Desaru Beach, which is opposite The Westin Desaru Resort.

Loved the soft sand and cleanliness of it.

Clean beach

My James Bond

The beach is open to the public and Westin Desaru guest has the access to the Swimming pool. With the cafe beside the Swimming pool. We as the parents get to chill and watched the children at the same time.
A recommended place to eat : Super Lobster Restaurant龍皇海鲜楼, Jalan Jenahak, Kampung Sungai Rengit, Bandar Penawar, Johor, Malaysia

The Crab and lobster were fresh and delicious. We used the freshness to its advantage and ordered it steamed. For 4 families the bill racked up to 1135.70RM.

The children were rather chilled in the morning at their stay Westin Desaru.

Lunch was solid at  Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh Batu 8, Jalan Mawai, Kampung Haji Mohd Jambi, 81900 Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia.

It has always been busy but legit, there is also a mama store that sells ice-cream which children can enjoyed after meal.

We decided to head to Crocodile World, 1 hour 20 min from the eating place
Jalan Sembilang, Teluk Sengat, 81900 Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia

Entrance Fees are RM8 for adults and RM4 for children. The highlight of the day that they allow the children to touch the baby crocodile. The children and adults could walk one round the small farm watching the big fat crocodiles in the respective cages. I wasn't much fascinated by the crocodile world except it supplies the skin to Hermes.

Also due to the lack of the feeding activities, it would be something I will bring my kids only once due to the reasonably priced tickets

Not sure they knew the crocodile is closing to eating them too. :)

The tiny excitement came along when the crocodiles in the man made river started splashing. And stopped when the crocodile

I paid another few dollars for the kids to carry this baby crocodile, this ended our trip nicely.

We proceed to R & F  Kiddomo Discovery indoor playground to find more ways to exhaust, oops entertain the kids.

Address

Lot T-328, Level 3, The Starling, No 6, Jalan SS21/37, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

I am impressed by the huge space and the amount of things that the kids can do in the indoor playground.
There is a performing stage that the kids can sing along on the mike, video games, interactive games all in this indoor playground.

The impressive space for the ball pit and birthday parties.

Most huge indoor playground these days would have a cafĂ© for kids, and I think it is a clever idea. The food portion is just nice for the kids and the cafĂ© allow non paying parents to sit in the same cafĂ© to sip their coffee and just chill for abit.

I love this place and will love to go there again. Till the next trip.

Malacca Trip with 7 children - Part 1 by Ade Oei

4:23 PM 0 Comments
The kids of K1A of Ebridge stay united , so did the parents of the kids. There was discussion for a short trip , we settled for Malacca.
Driving for brunch, with 7 kids, it was distracting .We finally managed to order food and settle the kids. But I believe we brought the cafe down with the 7 kids.

Nothing feel relaxed like a passenger along Malaysia . We used what’s app shared location, to check on each other, and made sure we were close by

While the passenger chills, the driver requested for a break and the roads along Malaysia offers Rest and relax pit stop.

We finally reached the AirBnB house and guessed what,it totally look like what you see in the picture . 4 cars could parked outside

The house looks inviting with the first sign of the welcome.. It had 6 rooms in total with all attached bathrooms. We had 10 adults, 7 kids . The house was clean and spacious with open kitchen concept. The living room allows like what my friend said, 'run amock'.

Swimming in the KOI pond size pool had the children exhausted . One of ever ready mum did her homework and ordered Aunty Lee’s food. With relaxed and chilled environment, we made sure that the kids were full, entertained and ready to sleep.
Aunty Lee’s food can be ordered here. Aunty Lee

The second day had me and my Husband , dragging ourselves out of bed , after a late night session talking with the parents who stayed strong and awake
Thank goodness for early parents and my maid , the children were able to eat their breakfast .
The TV, gadgets , Football table , colouring pencils , play doh ,  kept the kids occupied .

The dining table sat the parents whom can chit chat , and keep an eye on the kids . We could go on forever , if not for a common goal to get the kids to walk along Jonker street.

C’tnd on Part 2
