Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserves

2:06 AM 0 Comments

I keep telling them, to be careful of the crocodiles. I was excited myself. We parked at
Neo Tiew Cres, Singapore 718903

Greeted us was a calm and scenery view Dragonfly pod. The lighting was good at 5pm plus

Only mummy will observe such things .. Heart shape leaves, call me a romance at heart.

It is pity we took nature for granted, and that we are now taking photos with mask on, but it is a beautiful place to be soaked under the sun.

Watching the White stocks chilling upon the trees near the Kingfisher Pod .

It is must look to from the view, near the Kingfisher pod.

We manage to see a crocodile quite up close. I wondered how dangerous it would be to keep going. We saw the hikers continued their brave walks , even with the strong warning signs be posted up.

Moving on to Eagle's Point, it was a beauty with the mass water and reflections of the cloud. This iconic point in Sungei Buloh should not be missed.

The kids took a stop to look at the surroundings, while at the same time, snacking on biscuits. It is rather discouraged throughout the park to eat. However, as mums, we have to do what we have to do, to keep the kids going and not making a fuss. I didn't see any monkeys or other animals that came and snatched up the food, but I was cautious about the surroundings.

Trying to keep the food back into the bag as soon as possible.

Looking at Royce enjoying the nature is a pleasant sight.

.Looping back on the Mid Canopy walk trail, we walk closer to the Sungei Boleh Wetland Reserves Visitor Center. Looking at the pretty pond and the kids stepped on those stepping stones in the middle of the pond. Giving me a 'heart attack' because I was afraid they fall in the pond.

These pretty flower everywhere, and the kids sharp eyes saw tortoise in the pond and chameleon in the trees.

We walked back to Fantail Pod and while the kids climbed up the Pod,, I took a chance to do squats and take selfies and take the pretty view before the sky turned dark.

The park closed at 7pm. The concerned park warden told us the closing time and there was another park warden waiting for us in the carpark near our car.

The lesson behind was to go off abit earlier,  as we were rushing out, even in normal walking strides, Adele fell down. Her screams alerted the whole animal kingdom, plus the barks of wild dogs, the constant watch out for the crocodiles. It wasn't very pleasant.

We did enjoyed the whole trip. Till the next time folks....

Max Koi Farm and Kin Yan Agrotech Pte Ltd - Adelynn Oei

8:40 AM 0 Comments

I like to explore more of Singapore. The last couple of months had brought our little kids closer to our neighbours and their little kid.

They introduced us the mushroom farm to go for a look. The drive there

(220 Neo Tiew Cres, Singapore 718830),  is a short distance from our house.

The name of the farm is called Kin Yan Agrotech Pte Ltd, however, it is a pity that we couldn't go in to view. Please do call in to check, as they are following the covid measures.

However, we did manage to go in the shop, there were selling cactus and huge aloe vera. The aloe vera gel they sold has100% aloe vera. We tried to make most of our time, since we are there, by taking photo with the cute dragon.

We made our way over to Max Koi Farm, it is free entry, quite cool to see the Koi and arowanas. The Koi I have mostly seen are of a decent size, but here, the Koi are large and it is kinda calming to watch them.

The size of the Arowana is as long as my leg.

This goldfish is chilling

The activity can engaged my children's interest for a good half an hour. We left with a pretty scenery.
